Southgate, N14

Southgate is a suburban area situated within the London Borough of Enfield, the name derived from the fact that it was originally the South Gate of Enfield Chase and was the King’s hunting grounds. The area offers residents’ good school facilities, Ashmole Academy, Southgate Secondary School, Walker Primary School and Osidge Primary School being some of the most sought after schools in North London. It offers very good transport links with easy access to the M25 and North Circular, Central London is approximately 35 minutes away via Southgate’s Art Deco Underground Station on the Piccadilly Line.  

 A town on its own, Southgate offers a good range of shopping facilities, banks, many quality restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, gyms and the leisure centre. There are several parks in Southgate including Grovelands Park, Oakwood Park and Trent Park offering even further family activities.  

 Southgate Green is the old town of Southgate, located on the southwest boundary of the London Borough of Enfield. The buildings and spaces along the surrounding roads form a village envelope which has a special character appearance. Our agency has been situated in Southgate since 1982. Our team possesses extensive knowledge of the area having personally lived in Southgate for many years. If you want local knowledge, we have it! 

Winchmore Hill, N21 

Winchmore Hill is a prosperous and peaceful suburb characterised by its leafy roads and large houses. Winchmore Hill Green contains quaint furniture shops and boutiques with a generous selection of pubs, restaurants & cafes to choose from. Winchmore Hill British Rail Station allows for an easy commute to London Moorgate station, taking around 35 minutes to travel into the city. 

Winchmore Hill connects with Southgate through the historic Grovelands Park which was once a private estate, now the beautiful park is open for all. The area also boarders Edmonton, Palmers Green & Grange Park. The roads are decorated with well-maintained Edwardian houses with many buildings in the area of historical note such as schools, churches and pubs dating back to the 1700s.  

A wide selection of prestigious secondary and primary schools can be found in the area with the majority rated as “outstanding”. Winchmore Hill is known for its community spirit, there are many events and festivals that are carried out throughout the year for locals to get involved in. 

Cockfosters, EN4 & Oakwood, N14 

Cockfosters is situated on the borders of the picturesque Hertfordshire countryside but also offers commuters’ good transport links to London via Cockfosters underground station on the Piccadilly Line. The area offers residents a selection of some of the best restaurants and of course plenty of bars, cafes, coffee shops, shopping facilities, beauty salons, barbers, hairdressers & exclusive boutiques to choose from. The areas we offers spacious 1930’s properties and many large detached dwellings and is neighboured by Southgate, Hadley Wood, Oakwood, New Barnet & East Barnet. 

 Cockfosters homes two campuses of The University of Middlesex as well as Trent C of E Primary School, Southgate School & the famous theatre company, Chickenshed. Only a 5 minute drive or train journey from its neighbouring town Oakwood, the two often come as a pair due to being located so close to each other. Both areas share entrances to the renowned Trent Park, its large space encompasses lakes, meadows, a café, free parking as well as the renowned family activity, Go Ape. 

 

Palmers Green, N13 

Palmers Green is situated approximately 2 miles from Southgate with easy access to the A406 North Circular. It offers residents a large selection of shopping facilities, a variety of restaurants & bars as well as Palmers Green British Rail station which provides an easy commute into Central London. The town consists of many Edwardian properties varying from conversions to large family homes. 

The beautiful Broomfield Park sits next to Aldermans Hill, across the road you will find some of the best restaurants and cafes that provide top quality service & mouth-watering meals, you will be sure to return. The area homes top schools, Palmers Green High School, Hazlewood Junior School & Burford Pre-School Playgroup. 

East Barnet, EN4 

East Barnet is residential suburb that boarders Southgate, Cockfosters & New Barnet, it is home to top quality restaurants, bars, shopping facilities as well as the parish church of St Mary the Virgin. It provides easy access to the M25, M1 & A1 guaranteeing you efficient commute options around the area. The train stations in the area consist of Oakleigh Park, Southgate and Totteridge & Whetstone. 

Bodens Performing Arts School is located in the area which was founded in 1973, offering arts education to keen students from ages 3-18 and the Tony Boden Theatre also located on the premises. There are a selection of schools & colleges available in the area including St. Mary C of E Primary School, Danegrove Primary School & East Barnet School.   

East Barnet is home to Brunswick Park and the historical Oak Hill Park that has existed since the 11th century, it runs along Hampden Way and is the perfect place to go for a family walk or to tire out the kids. 

Arnos Grove, N11

Arnos Grove boarders Barnet & Haringey, attaching on to the area is Hampden Square which consists of three parades of shops that hosts a selection of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs & boutique stores for you to get lost in. Arnos Grove Tube Station has been claimed to be one of the finest works of celebrated architect, Charles Holden and is the main station of the area, Southgate Tube Station, Palmers Green Railway Station & Alexandra Palace Railway Station are also close by.  

There is a variety of attractions in the area including the renowned Alexandra Palace & Chickenshed Theatre. Arnos Park is located in the centre of the town and many respected schools consisting of St Paul’s Church of England Primary, Broomfield Secondary School, Garfield Primary and more.
